The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQ 10703-0031-08 for the provision of an Advanced Occupational Education program in the field of Computer Applications to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Cumberland, Maryland. The requirement is for an accredited program leading to a certificate in Computer Applications or closely related field. The certification should be issued from an Accredited Institution of Post Secondary Education. It is estimated that the contract will include 3 sessions per year. A session is defined as 13 weeks in duration. The 13 week session will consist of 3 classes being held weekly. Each class will be 3 hours in duration. The estimated total sessions per year is 3. The contract period shall consist of one 12 month base year and 4 twelve month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about May 20, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated deadline for receipt of quotes is June 20, 2008. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
