Urinalysis Collection Services

Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide urinalysis collection services to conditionally-released, federal offenders within the Sudbury and Barrie Parole Offices.

Collections may occur in the parole offices, an offender’s private residence, Community Residential Facilities, private agencies or in an area designated by the offender’s Parole Officer.

The Contractor will be responsible for the collection of urine samples from conditionally-released, federal offenders under forensic conditions and in accordance with specific sections of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act Statute.

Correctional Service Canada will provide the required paperwork, gloves, sample containers, courier bags, bills of lading and cooler for cool storage.

The Contractor will collect samples, prepare the necessary paperwork and dispatch the samples to the laboratory for testing. The Contractor may be required to input data into Correctional Service Canada computer application(s) and may be required to attend/testify at disciplinary hearings.

Collections will normally occur between 07:00 and 18:00 hours, Monday to Friday. There may be requirements to collect on weekends, after normal working hours and in emergency situations.

The contract period will run from approximately June 1, 2008 to May 31, 2012 with an option to renew annually for up to two additional years.
