This proposed pocurement is Service Disabled Owned Veteran Small Business . Date of issue for the solicitation and specifications will be on or about May 19, 2008, on www.fbo.gov. Bids will be due on or about June 19, 2008. Work to be performen under this project consists of providing the labor, equipment, and materials to clean, blast, and paint the exterior of two Howell Bunger Valves on the downstream face of Nimrod Dam, Perry County, Arkansas. Lead abatement is required for lead paint that exists on the valves. Each gate upstream and valve will be closed by Government Personnel one at a time for the work. When work is complete on the first valve then the second gate and valve will be closed. The work area during painting and paint curing shall be kept dry.
