REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI)

The Government of Indonesia will receive funds from the World Bank toward the cost of the WASAP Trust Funds, and intends to apply the proceeds of the funds for consultant services. This is the update of the Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) advertised in Media Indonesia dated 9 April 2008.The services include:

1. Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Land Acquisition Resettlement Action Plan (LARAP) which will include assisting the Governments with the analysis, fact findings, and preparing draft documents of EIA and LARAP as required by Government of Indonesia.

2. Design and Construction Supervision of Final Disposal Sites Dredged Sludge, including feasibility of sites selection.

3. Preparation of bidding documents and supervision of dredging works identified in the Project Scope, including monitoring and supervising the dredging and rehabilitation works under JUFMP/JEDI project packages.

4. Design and Construction Supervision of river embankments rehabilitation, pump and rack repairs and bridges rehabilitation/improvements.

5. Advisory Services to the Project Management Unit (PMU) Advisory.

The assignment 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 is expected to be procured and implemented in one (1) contract package. The consultant will work closely with Ministry of Public Works and Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta counterparts.

Directorate General of Water Resources (DGWR), c.q. Director of River, Lake and Reservoir, now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest for the assignment. Interested consulting firm must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments in the last 10 years, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines, Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004, revised October 2006.
