SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority:
Trade Package 4325 Flooring and Carpets.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Works.
Design and execution.
Main site or location of works: The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Waterside,
UK-Stratford Upon Avon CV37 6BB, Warwickshire.
NUTS code: UKG13.
II.1.3) The notice involves: A public contract.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The
redevelopment of the Grade II* Listed Shakespeare Theatre (RST) and the
Swan Theatre which lie on the banks of the River Avon at the heart of the
RSC’s Estate in Stratford upon Avon. Working largely within the shell of
the existing building, the proposals include replacing the existing RST
auditorium, improving the scale and clarity of Foyer spaces and
re-planning back of house accommodation. Outside the building the
proposals will provide better quality public spaces facing both the River
and the Town. A new Public Square and circulation tower will signal the
changes and provide a link to the town of Stratford. A construction
management procurement route has been adopted procuring the works through
trade packages to deliver the above brief. - Supply and install all soft
flooring to RST Redevelopment ; the scope may include: - Supply and
install carpet tiles. - Supply and Install Carpet. - Supply and install
non-slip vinyl. - Supply and Install Epoxy floors. - Supply and install
coved vinyl skirting to all vinyl areas. - Supply and install acoustic
Floorings. - Supply and install latex screed to general vinyl areas. -
Supply and install expansion trim to stair landings. - Supply and install
Interface entrance matting. - Supply and install finishing strips to all
areas of interface between different floor finishes / surfaces. - Supply
and install / maintain adequate fire rated protection after final floor
finishes have been installed Please refer to Section III of this Contract

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: The redevelopment of the Grade II*

III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: The contracting authority may
require a Parent Company Guarantee or a performance bond as well as
Plant/Equipment/ Product Guarantee/Warranties.

arrears subject to Retention Fund, all in accordance with the provisions
within the bespoke Trade Contract.
