LIDAR SURVEY OF THE NZOIA FLOOD PLAIN AND DAMS 42A, 39, 38, 35, 34B, 34, & 33

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the dgmarket, Issue of 21st April, 2008(No. 85322000)
2.The Government of Kenya has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Western Kenya Community Driven Development and Flood Mitigation Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for procurement of services for Lidar Survey of the Nzoia Flood Plains and Dams
3. The Ministry of State for Special Programmes through the Western Kenya Community Driven Development and Flood Mitigation Project Coordination Unit now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for procurement of services for a Lidar Survey of the Nzoia Flood Plains and Dams:
4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures, specified in the World Bank Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits , and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Western Kenya Community Driven Development and Flood Mitigation Project Coordination Unit and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9.00am to 5.00pm, on working days.
6. Qualifications requirements include: The minimum required annual volume of Services for the successful Bidder in any of the last ten years shall be US $ 5.0 Million. The Bidder must demonstrate that the Bidder has executed at least two service contracts of Lidar Survey during the last 5 years of which at least 70% is complete.
7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee Kshs. 3,000 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be by cash or bankers check payable to the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of State for Special Programmes at Comcraft House, 7th Floor during working hours. The Bidding Documents will be collected from the address below.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 19th June, 2008. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below, at 10.00am, 19th June, 2008. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of kshs. 672,000 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency; and must be valid for 90 days from the date of bid closing deadline.
