FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES # 19

Consulting service for: 1. Indexed Based Weather Insurance which includes: pilot areas, National Meteorological Service information technology upgrading and up scaling, and training (The assignment is proposed for consulting firms and to be evaluated with QCBS)

4. Capital Market Infrastructure Development which includes: drafting of the legal environment for the Securities and Exchange law and its regulations, establishment of the Ethiopian Stock Exchange, establishment of the National Securities and Clearing Corporation, National Assets/Collateral Secured Transaction Registry, Housing Financing Schemes, Credit Card Development and Venture Capital Fund formation and management, government and corporate bond markets (The assignment is proposed for consulting firms and to be evaluated with QCBS)

1. This request for expressions of interest follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, notice number 695, 31 January 2007. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of NBE- Financial Sector Capacity Building Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments for recruitment of International consultant for the above listed consultancy assignments.
2. The National Bank of Ethiopia, Financial Sector capacity Building Project (NBE- FSCBP) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services for each assignment separately. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Detail CV, Description of similar assignments, credentials and recommendations for previous similar assignments, availability in recent months, etc.).
3. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004.
4. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below from 9:00am -12:00 am and 1:30pm - 4: 30pm local time Monday-Friday.
5. Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below on or before 4:00 PM, May 20, 2008. Expression of interest received late will not be considered.
6. Only short listed consultant will be invited to submit proposal.
