The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Army Reserve Contracting Center, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico has an Invitation for Bids (IFB) No. W912C3-08-B-0003 for Exterior/Interior Painting at Fort Buchanan, US ARMY Reserve Center throughout Puerto Rico and DDESS at Ramey, Puerto Rico. Contractor is to provide all necessary supervision, labor, tools, material and equipment to perform the required work. The contract will be Firm-Fixed Price type for a One (1) Base Year Period and Four (4) One (1) Year Option Periods, Delivery Order Type. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about 8 May 2008. The closing date of the IFB will be within 30 days from the issuance date (See solicitation for the specific date). This Invitation for Bids is issued as a Competitive 8(a) Set-Aside only and is restricted for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands Area Only. The 8(a) firm shall be certified by the Small Business Administration. The North American Industry Classification System (NAISC) code is 238320. The size standard is 13.0 million. The magnitude of this requirement is between 5,000,000.00 and 10,000,000.00. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov for status of solicitations and amendments. The bids and amendments, if any, shall be submitted to the location specified on the IFB on or before the closing time and date. The solicitation will be posted and accessed electronically by the public at http://www.buchanan.army.mil/contracting/home.html. The solicitation will not be mailed out or faxed. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the period for issuance of solicitation from May 8, 2008 to on or about May 22, 2008. As a result, the bid opening date will be on or about June 22, 2008.
