Kabul Municipality has received a grant from the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) for Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project (UWSS) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract for Facilitating Partner to support the Public Awareness Campaign.
Project Background:

The ARTF-financed Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project (UWSS) provides support to the government of Afghanistan’s UWSS program which is effective since February 2005. The project has five components: Kabul Water Supply, Kabul Sanitation, Provincial Towns WSS, Engineering Support and Technical Assistance, and financial support to the Central Authority for Water Supply and Sewerage (CAWSS) operations.
Project Objectives and Activities
The services include;

(i) Implementation of pilot Public Awareness Campaign for Department of Sanitation;
(ii) And design finalization of the scaled up Public Awareness Campaign for Department of Sanitation.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004).
