1.The Invitation for Bids follows The General Procurement Notice for this Project that appreared on the United Nation Development Bussines online and on the National Newspaper Media Indonesia dated April 24, 2008
2.The Republic of Indonesia received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of Second Eastern Indonesia Region Transport Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for :

3. The Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Public Works now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for reconstruction of the above contract packages.
4.Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is opened to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Bidding Documents.
5. This tender/bidding is a semi E procurement, hence the bidder should have user id & password which can be obtained through registration from internet media within site www.pu.go.id
6. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from April 24, 2008 up to 24 hours prior to the deadline of the submission of bid, in working hours.
7.Qualifcations requirements include Annual Turnover, Key Technical, Financial, and other requirements as declared in the Bidding Documents. A Margin of preference for aligible national contractors/joint ventures shall not be applied.
8.A complete set of Bidding Documents in english may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee IDR. 500.000,- (Five Hundred Thousand Rupiahs) or USD 55,00 ( Fifty Five US Dollars ).
9.Pre-bid Meeting is not held.
10. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 11.00 WITA Local Time, June 5, 2008 Electronic Bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened phisically in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 11.00 WITA Local Time, June 5, 2008
