FEDBIZOPPS Synopsis Notice VA-248-08-RQ-0265 - The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Palm Beach Medical Center intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to award a firm fixed price contract for provide all labor, tools, materials and equipment to vacuum out and remove all debris from lift station strainer basket and remove all debris (grease traps), and any special equipment needed to perform annual pressure cleaning of lift station pit. This is the second attempt to post this request. In the first one, VA set this procurement for Small Business Only and only one bid was received in a timely manner however, we rejected the offer after reviewing the Independent Government Estimate, Market Research and previous comparison of services and in accordance with the FAR 52-212-2 and FAR 13.106-3.
Based on the previous information, this procurement is being solicited as UNRESTRICTED, full and open competition to all business concerns. The applicable NAICS CODE is 562998. Contract will be for the period of a base year with four year options. Offerors are to be advised that an award may be made without discussion or any contact concerning the proposal received. However, the Government reserves the right to enter into discussion if deemed necessary, and if discussions are conducted, the Offerors within the competitive range will be afforded the opportunity to revise their proposal.
Proposals are due on or about May 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time. Proposals are to be by e-mail or fax but the contractor must be sure that we receive your proposal on time confirming by e-mail. Telephone requests for the solicitation will not be accepted or honored.
Paper copies of this solicitation and amendments if any will not be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation at no charge at http://www.fbo.gov. All vendors who want to access solicitation will be required to register with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov) and Federal Business Opportunity (www.fbo.gov). The system called Federal Business Opportunity (www.fbo.gov) has been upgraded as a web-based dissemination toll designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal Agencies. Business opportunities can be located on Federal Business (www.fedbizops.gov) Website. To keep informed of changes: Check www.fedbizopps.gov frequently. Some contractor tools are as follows: 1.
