The General Services Administration will be soliciting proposals for an Elevator Modernization for the Federal Building at Centre Phase Five (5) in Farmers Branch, TX, Solicitation GS-07P-08-UA-C-0038, Project Number RTX07010. The point of contact is Aaron Davis, Contracting Officer, 7PMO-DA, 214-767-5592. The project is to consist of modernizing seven (7) existing traction passenger elevators. The contractor must provide and install new solid state microprocessor controls, drives, motors, and cabs. All work performed under this contract shall meet or exceed the current ASME-A17.1 Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The anticipated cost is estimated to be between 850,000 and 1,150,000. The solicitation issue date will be on or about May 7, 2008. The proposal due date will be on or about June 6, 2008. A pre-proposal conference will be held on or about May 19, 2008 and notification of proposed attendance is requested. We consider attendance at this conference vital to the preparation of a competitive and cost effective proposal and to understanding the total result desired by the Government. Failure to attend this meeting may not be used as an excuse for omissions and miscalculations in offers. Specifications will be available for downloading from the Internet at www.fedbizopps.gov once the solicitation is posted.
