Expression of Interest to provide
Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Environment
For Air Quality Monitoring System (AQMS) Project

The Ministry of Environment (MoEnv), through the Government Tenders Directorate (GTD), invites International consulting firms, in association with Jordanian consulting firms specialized in Air Quality Monitoring System as consortium , to submit their Expression of Interest for providing a technical assistance to MoEnv for the implementation of an AQMS Project for Jordan, according to the following:

-The purpose of the project is to monitor air quality (ambient air, industrial emissions, and vehicle emissions) in three cities in Jordan (Amman, Zarka and Irbid) and other urban and industrial locations.

-The duration of the project is two years and the technical assistance is required for the whole duration of the project.

-Jordanian and international firms are invited to associate for their proposal.

-All inquiries related to this Expression of Interest should be sent to the Chairman of the Central Tenders Committee at the address mentioned below via fax or the email before Tuesday May 6th, 2008.

-Applicants are kindly requested to follow up GTD official website mentioned below for any addenda issued in response to inquiries.

-Expression of Interest shall be submitted in a sealed envelop containing a hardcopy (one original ad two copies) together with one softcopy to GTD at the following address:

-Deadline for submission of the Expression of Interest is 12:00 hours Jordan local time on Sunday May 18th, 2008.

-The expression of Interest should include:

a-Presentation of the International firm and its expertise, especially its relevant experience in similar projects.
b-Presentation of the associated Jordanian consulting firm.
c-CVs of both proposed experts (international and local), highlighting their relevant expertise in Air Quality management and/or similar projects.
d-Commitment of the consortium of consultants to submit a bank guarantee according to the Jordanian law.

-Expression of Interest responses will be publicly opened at 15:00 hours Jordan local time Sunday May 18th, 2008.

-The Opening session will be transmitted live (Audio & Video) on GTD official website mentioned above.
