GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

WESTERN KENYA COMMUNITY DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT AND FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT

IDA Credit No. 4278-KE

The GOVERNMENT OF KENYA Has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) in the amount of US$ 86.0M equivalent toward the cost of the Western Kenya Community Driven Development and Flood Mitigation Project (WKCDD&FMP), and it intends to apply the proceeds of this credit to payments for contracts for Goods & Services, Works and Consulting Services to be procured under this project.
The project will include the following procurements:-

(a) Supply of Goods & Services:-
i) Computer Equipment
ii) Motor Vehicles & Motor Cycles
iii) Flood Prediction Equipment

(b) Civil works:-
i) Floodplain remedial works

(c) Selection of Consultants:-
i) Technical feasibility study multipurpose flood management
ii) Economic feasibility study for multipurpose flood management

Procurement of contracts financed by the credit will be conducted through the procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May, 2004 (revised October, 2006), and Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers May, 2004 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for large-value consultants’ contracts will be announced, as they become available, in Development Business and in the local newspapers.

Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive an invitation to bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of the advertisement requesting expressions of interest for large – contracts or those requiring additional information, may contact the address below.
