CEREDIGION County Council is seeking to appoint a provider who can deliver
a reliable, cost-effective managed service for the provision of surface
dressing chippings for the Council's highway maintenance programme.
The duration of the contract for the supply and delivery of chippings will
be 2 years, with the option to extend this period for a further year, if
circumstances allow.
The annual quantity of aggregate needed is estimated to be in the order of
6 000-7 000 tonnes, although the Council cannot guarantee that the actual
figure will be within this range.
For each year of the contract, the bulk of the chippings must be delivered
to a number of storage sites thoughout the county of Ceredigion, ahead of
the summer surface dressing season.
