Second Private Sector Competitiveness Project

1. The Government of Uganda has received a credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of the Second Private Sector Competitiveness Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Systematic Adjudication, Demarcation, Survey and Registration/Certification of Interests in Land, PSFU/PSCPII/NCS/002. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits.

2. The Private Sector Foundation Uganda who is representing the Government of Uganda invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for carrying out the following Services:

▪ Training and sensitization which involves capacity building among District and Area (Sub-County/Ward) officials and sensitization of community members
▪ Systematic adjudication, demarcation and survey in cooperation with Area Land Committees and LC1 governments, to be followed by issuance of Certificates of Occupancy, Certificate of Customary Ownership or Title, which requires the firm to liaise with the appropriate local and central government land agencies as required by law.

for a nonrefundable fee of shillings 100,000.00 or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency, for each set. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid closing and must be accompanied by security of Shillings 4,500,000.00 for each lot bidded for or equivalent amounts in a convertible currency, and shall be delivered to The Executive Director at the above address on or before 10.00 am on the 23rd of May 2008, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend
