II.1) DESCRIPTION

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Norwegian
Institute of Public Health (the Awarding Authority) shall carry out an
open tender contest for the procurement of hotel overnight stops,
conference facilities and travels. The Awarding Authority is an official
activity with approx. 850 employees which will have considerable
requirements in relation to official journeys, flights and
hotel/conference services in Norway and abroad (approx. 8 000 000 -10 000
000 NOK per annum). The Awarding Authority will emphasis on the Norwegian
Government’s “Action plan for Environmental and social responsibility in
relation to public procurements” which i.a. mention transportation and
hotel services as prioritized product areas. Quotation from the action
plan as regards to services: “Procurement of UN approved climate quota in
order to correspond to the emissions from the government employees’
international flights”.
Questions in relation to the procurement process will be answered until
two weeks prior to the tender deadline. The questions will be made
anonymous and answers will be published in Doffin.
