The National Park Service intends to issue a prospectus for proposals to provide lodging, food and beverage service, retail, fuel, laundry, shower, pool and horseback riding services within Lassen Volcanic National Park. The existing Concession Contract between the National Park Service and the existing Concessioner expires on October 31, 2008. The Director, pusuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is NOT a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for ten (10) years. Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the Concessions Program Manager, National Park Service, Pacific West Region, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland, California 94607 no later than nintey (91) days from January 22, 2008 in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. The prospectus will be issued on January 22, 2008, for a 91-day response periord under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due on April 22, 2008, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). There is a printing cost recovery charge of 60 per copy to be delievered via Federal Express or 50 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package. The National Park Service has amended the prospectus for proposals for a new Concession Contract to operate Lodging, Food and Beverage, Retail, Guided Horseback Riding, Fuel and Other Services within Lassen Volcanic National Park, as well as extended the submission date to August 13, 2008. The National Park Service has made major modifications to the prospectus. Changes include NPS purchase of cabins for Manzanita Lake and elimination of the requirement for mid-week winter operations at the Southwest Visitor Center. Any offer must be received by the Concession Program Manager, National Park Service, Pacific West Region, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland, California 94607 by August 13, 2008 no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract.
