GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Grant No H 2520.

Notice No. CDDP/001/08/2007

The Government of the Gambia has received financing in the amount of US$ 18.6M equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Community Driven Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by the Japanese Grant (PHRD)

The project will include the following components Goods, Works and Services

Goods

Procurement of Solar Panels
Purchase of Desktop computers, Laptops, Printers, Photocopier and Scanner
Procurement of Office furniture and filing cabinets
Procurement of Communications, Publication, Media materials, software packages and licences, MIS Equipment, including software
Procurement of 125 cc 4 stroke motorcycles and accessories
Procurement of Vehicle and
Procurement office supplies (stationery Items and office provisions)

Works

Rehabilitation of LGA Offices
Repair of existing motorcycle and repair of CDO vehicles.

Consultancy Services

Capacity strengthening for VDCs and WDCs
Capacity strengthening at LGA level
Capacity strengthening at Central Government level
Implementation of Communication strategy
International TA MIS Design
Local TA MIS implementation
International TA impact evaluation and Baseline Survey
Technical field audits
Annual audits

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket [and the names of technical magazines, newspapers and trade publications of wide international circulation and in local newspapers].

Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will be required for the following contracts None.
