SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority:
Realignment of approach road to Dudley Ward Tunnel.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Works.
Realisation, by whatever means of work, corresponding to the requirements
specified by the contracting authorities.
Main site or location of works: Sir Herbert Miles Road - Gibraltar.
II.1.3) The notice involves: A public contract.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Construction of
a new road approximately 500 m long including the construction of four
sections of rockfall protection canopies totalling approximately 330 m.
II.1.6) Common procurement vocabulary (CPV): 45233120, 45223500.

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: Construction of new road approx 500 m
long. Works to include construction of four sections of reinforced
concrete canopies approximately 330 m long. Construction of rockfall
protection blankets over the canopy structures. Placement of fill material
between the canopy structures and existing rock face. Construction of two
rockfall catch fences. Demolition of disused structures along the new road
alignment.
II.2.2) Options: No.
II.3) DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in
months: 15 (from the award of the contract).
SECTION III: LEGAL, ECONOMIC, FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: No deposits or guarantees at
this stage.
III.1.2) Main financing conditions and payment arrangements and/or
reference to the relevant provisions regulating them: Terms of payment
will be stictly in pound sterling (GBP) and as contained in contract
documents.
III.1.3) Legal form to be taken by the group of economic operators to
whom the contract is to be awarded: Precise information of the legal form
taken by the grouping is required. In case of a consortium a legal entity
will have to be formed before entering into a contract.
III.1.4) Other particular conditions to which the performance of the
contract is subject: Yes.
The Contracting Authority does not bind itself to awarding the tender to
the lowest or to any tender received and does not accept any liability
whatsoever for any costs or expenses incurred in the preparation of the
tenders whether or not successful.
III.2) CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
III.2.1) Personal situation of economic operators, including requirements
relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers: Information and
formalities necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: 1.
Certificate of registration issued by authority administering the official
lists of the appropiate professional or trade registers. 2. A seperate
certificate issued by the relevant competent authorities attesting that
the economic operator has fulfilled its obligations relating to the
payment of social security contributions and taxes under law of the
relevant state in which the economic operator is established.
III.2.2) Economic and financial capacity: Information and formalities
necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: Audited accounts for the
past three financial years including a statement of the overall turnover
of the business and turnover of the works.
III.2.3) Technical capacity: Information and formalities necessary for
evaluating if requirements are met: Succesful experience in the execution
of at least two assignments of similar nature and complexity comparable to
the proposed project activity. CV's of all key personnel to be involved in
the project.
