SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

Europa Point Beautification - Civil Hard Landscaping works with
Recreational Facilities.

performance: Works.
Execution.
Main site or location of works: Europa Point - GI-Gibraltar.
II.1.3) The notice involves: The establishment of a framework agreement.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Civil works to
provide new hard-landscaped recreational promenades, playgrounds and
vehicular parking, with new building works to provide associated tourist,
sport and leisure facilities.

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: The beautification of the Europa Point
area which extends to approximately 22 000 m², and construction of a
viewing platform building, a cafe/toilet block, a pistol shooting range
with associated club facilities, an information kiosk and a new
observatory building. The works include all hard and soft landscaping, the
provision and installation of street furniture and the
upgrading/replacement of mains services.

II.3) DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in
months: 22 (from the award of the contract).
SECTION III: LEGAL, ECONOMIC, FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: No deposits or guarantees
required at this stage.
III.1.2) Main financing conditions and payment arrangements and/or
reference to the relevant provisions regulating them: Terms of payment
will be strictly in sterling and as contained in contract documents.
III.1.3) Legal form to be taken by the group of economic operators to
whom the contract is to be awarded: Precise information of the legal form
taken by the grouping is required. In the case of a consortium a legal
entity will have to be formed before entering into a contract.

formalities necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: (1)
Certificate of registration issued by authority administering the official
lists of the appropriate professional or trade registers.
(2) A separate certificate issued by the relevant competent authorities
attesting that the economic operator has fulfilled its obligations
relating to the payment of social security contributions and taxes under
the law of the relevant state in which the economic operator is
established.
III.2.2) Economic and financial capacity: Information and formalities
necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: Audited accounts for the
past 3 financial years including a statement of the overall turnover of
the business and the turnover of the works.
III.2.3) Technical capacity: Information and formalities necessary for
evaluating if requirements are met: Successful experience in the execution
of at least 2 assignments of similar nature and complexity to the proposed
project completed within the last 5 years.
