The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a follow-on single source contract to Raytheon Company, a large business, at 1001 Boston Post Road, Marlborough MA. The requirement is to provide engineering and technical services required for analysis, modification, integration, and overall support of the Precision Runway Monitor System (PRM). The PRM is a stand-alone system developed by Raytheon that allows simultaneous closely spaced approaches at airports where parallel runways are separated by less than 4,300 feet. Several production systems have been installed and additional systems are planned. Analysis, modification, upgrades, integration, and support of the production systems are required for further implementation and use of PRM to maintain airport capacity and enhance the safety of the flying public. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. Raytheon developed the PRM and holds proprietary data. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm believes it can fulfill the requirement, please provide evidence of your firm's capability and experience in providing the services outlined above and the FAA will evaluate that information accordingly. All responses to this announcement must be directed to Michelle Shaw, Contracting Officer by 2:00 p.m. CST, 17 Aug 2007. PHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
