II.4) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORKS: Southwark Council
has approved an accommodation strategy that focuses on the way it delivers
services. The strategy identifies three types of accommodation
requirement: for administrative and transactional functions, for
specialist functions and for functions that have to be performed in a
particular locality.
This Prior Information Notice deals with the first of these. The Council
is seeking to appoint a contractor for design and fit out of office
accommodation at 160 Tooley Street, London, SE1 for 2,100 administrative
and transactional staff. The accommodation is leased and will be in
Category A state before works starts.
Estimated cost of works excluding VAT:
Range: between 12 000 000 and 17 000 000 Currency: GBP.
