INLAND WATERS PROJECT
GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
Loan No. 7453-HR

The Republic of Croatia has received financing in the amount of EUR 100 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Inland Waters Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for first Set investment of this Loan (EUR 24.0 million) to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project in year 2007 and 2008.

The project will include the following components
Component A – Technical Assistance
A.1. EU Accession Support – assistance in preparation of projects for financing by EU and other sources, including feasibility studies, preparation of documentation for location and construction permits, preliminary and final design, environmental assessment and preparation of bidding documentation
A.2.a Preparation of Feasibility Study for Inland Waters Project - 3 Set investments /1
A.2.b Preparation of Feasibility Study for Inland Waters Project - 3 Set investments /2

Component B – Investments
B.1. Utility Investments
(i) Design, Supply and Installation of Plant and Equipment for WWTP
(ii) Extend the wastewater collector systems, which includes procurement of goods (pipes and pumps)

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004.

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket, and in Official Gazette of Republic of Croatia - Narodne novine and in local newspapers Vjesnik.

Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive invitations to bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of advertisement requesting expressions of interest for consultancy contracts, or those requiring additional information, should contact the address below.
