REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

This Request of Interest follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, Issue No. 604 of April 16, 2003.

The Government of Angola has received a Credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of the Economic Management Technical Assistance Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services in Angolan Central Bank (BNA). BNA is requesting technical assistance to conduct a training for the Supervision of Financial Institutions Department (DSI) team.

The Consultant firm is expected to provide BNA with Technical Assistance in all major issues related with supervision of financial institutions, with objective to enable BNA’s team to build their skills in the implementation, analysis and evaluation. The expected implementation period is 24 months.

The Ministry of Planning now invites eligible consultant firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. The Expression of Interest must be presented in English with a copy in Portuguese. Interested consultant firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultant firms may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant firm will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004.

Interested consultant firms may obtain further information at the address below during office hours 08H00 to 15H00.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by no later than July 20, 2007.
