1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. 627 of February 16, 2006.

2. The Kyrgyz Republic has received grant from the International Donor Community toward the cost of Health and Social protection SWAp project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the Contract for MOH 2007-G-03.

3. The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for supply of computer equipment: Personal Computer (PC) – 8 pcs., Personal Computer (PC) Entry – 315 pcs., Portable PC (Laptop) – 2 pcs., Laser Printer – 175 pcs., Color Laser Printer – 1 pcs., Scanner – 5 pcs., UPS 650VA – 325 pcs., DLP LCD Projector 2000 ANSI lumens – 2 pcs.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (May 2004) and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Health and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9.00 to 17.30. 6. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee 50 USD. The method of payment is transferring made via:

8.Bids must be delivered before August 3, 2007, 14:00 (Bishkek time) at the address: 1 “A”, Togolok Moldo Street, Health Development Centre (building 1), Procurement Sector, room No. 14, first floor Bishkek 720040, Kyrgyz Republic; Tel: 996(312) 66 26 08; fax: 996(312) 662608. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address: Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, 148, Moskovskaya St., Assembly Hall, 720040, Bishkek, on August 3, 2007 14:00 (Bishkek time). All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 2 percent (2%) of the Bid Price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
