6. Contract description: Under the Georgian action programme 2004, a
project with the aim of supporting the reform process in the field of
higher education according to Bologna principles by establishing an
Institute for European Studies (IES) is carried out (see also
EuropeAid/121005/C/SER/GE). It will introduce modern teaching and learning
methodology including distance learning to Georgia exemplified in a
newly-established Master programme 'European Studies'. The procurement is
a complementary requirement to provide adequate teaching and learning
materials for the IES to become operational at State universities in
Tbilisi, Telavi and Batumi.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots: Lot 1: presentation equipment.
Lot 2: ICT equipment and peripherals.
Lot 3: book library for IES.
Lot 4: furniture.
8. Intended timing of publication: July 2007.

10. Legal basis: Council Regulation (EC, Euratom) No 99/2000 of
29.12.1999 concerning the provision of assistance to the partner States in
eastern Europe and central Asia, as amended by Council Regulation (EC) No
2112/2005 of 21.11.2005 on access to Community external assistance.
