1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/122976/D/SER/DO
2. Procedure: International restricted tender.
3. Programme: 9th European Development Fund.
4. Financing: Financing agreement REG/7605/005.
5. Contracting authority: The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of
Communications and Works, Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica
(decentralised tender procedures), Roseau, Dominica.
6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: Supervision of the following works: airside
works at the Melville Hall airport in the Commonwealth of Dominica to meet
ICAO compliance requirements and facilitate night landing operations. The
works include: the development of RESAs; runway and apron resurfacing,
drainage and markings; the supply and installation of airfield ground
lighting systems.
8. Indicative maximum budget: EUR 350 000.
9. Intended timing of publication: 2nd quarter 2006.
10. Additional information: The Air Access Improvement Programme
comprises 2 packages. Package 1: renovation and expansion of the terminal
building, car park and access road — works contract ongoing scheduled for
completion 3rd quarter 2006. Additional works are being completed with the
aid of the Venezuelan Government and will be undertaken simultaneously
with package 2 — airside works.
11. Legal basis: ACP–EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000.
Decision No 2/2002 of the ACP–EC Council of Ministers published in OJ L
320 of 23.11.2002.
Remarks:
There must be a minimum period of 30 calendar days between the publication
of this contract forecast and the publication of the corresponding
procurement notice.
