INDONESIA

(A) Program Coordinator for Education Reform and
(B) Event Organizers

Consulting Services funded under Dutch Trust Fund

The World Bank Office in Jakarta has received a Capacity Building Trust Fund 054955 from the Royal Netherlands Government for the National Education Reform Strategy for Indonesia. The TF will support the implementation of the Ministry’s of Education’s RENSTRA (2005 – 2009), covering early childhood education and development, universal basic education, quality of education and teacher management and using information technology for the knowledge economy. The Bank intends to apply part of the proceed of the Trust Fund for consultant services for the following assignments:

Package A. Program Coordinator for Education Reform (Individual Consultant)
The consultant will be part of the Education Cluster in the World Bank Office Jakarta and will (i) support the Education Cluster Leader in delivering a program of analytical and technical assistance support to relevant organizations responsible for education in the Indonesian Government (particularly the Ministries of National Education as well as the Ministry of Religious Affairs and BAPPENAS); and (ii) take a leading role in designing and implementing corresponding capacity building activities.

Package B. Event Organizers (Consultant Firms)
As part of the Technical Assistance, the fund will finance a number of workshops and conferences at the central, province and district levels. Two consultant firms will be hired to manage the logistics and administrative aspects as well as providing pre-financing. The firms will be selected under the Selection Based on Consultant Qualification method of the Bank Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrower (May 2004).
