The Government of Grenada has received a loan from the International
Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of USD 5,060,000
equivalent, and has received a credit from the International
Development Association in the amount of USD 5,000,000 equivalent
toward the cost of the Emergency Recovery and Disaster Management
Project, and it intends to apply the proceeds of this funding to
payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to
be procured under this project. Bidding for contracts financed by the
International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and
International Development Association will be governed by the
procurement rules of the World Bank.

The project will strengthen the ability to direct disaster management
agencies, and enhance their capacity to mitigate adversity, concerning
particular disasters such as floods, landslides, storm surges, and
hurricanes in Grenada.

The project will include the following goods, works and services:

- Training manuals and program for maintenance staff
- launching equipment, assembly
- 70 m of prefabricated metallic bridge components of single type
configuration

Procurement of contracts will be conducted through the procedures
specified in Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits[1] of the
World Bank, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries
as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in
accordance with Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank
Borrowers[2] of the World Bank.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the
Project Coordination Unit, Grenada Emergency Recovery and Disaster
Management Project and inspect the bidding documents at the first
address below from 0900 to 1500 hours daily Monday to Friday. A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the
first address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of EC$
120 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The
method of payment will be cashiers check made payable to the
Government of Grenada. The document will be sent by airmail for
overseas delivery and by surface mail for local delivery. Bidders who
wish to receive the bidding documents by courier, must comply with the
requirements stated above in this paragraph and should submit their
account number with the international courier service. It is the
bidder's responsibility to ensure that the international courier
service operates an outbound service from Grenada to the required
destination.

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under
international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures will be announced,
as they become available, in the Development Gateway Market.
