Barbados Individual supply contract forecast 1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/120676/D/S/BB 2. Procedure: Open international tender. 3. Programme: European Development Fund. 4. Financing: National Indicative Programme - Financing Agreement. 5. Contracting authority: National Authorising Office, Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Economic Affairs Division, Government Headquarters, Bay Street, Bridgetown, Barbados, West Indies. 6. Contract description: The aim of the contract is the provision, delivery to site, installation, testing and commissioning of the following scientific equipment for the Forensic Sciences Centre as specified in the lots, quantities and details of supply. 7. Indicative number and titles of lots: Lot 1: chromatographic systems (GC, LC, ICP-MS). Lot 2: automated sample prep for forensic DNA typing. Lot 3: genetic analyser. Lot 4: scanning electron microscope. Lot 5: ultraviolet spectrophotometer. Lot 6: evaporation workstation. Lot 7: colour film processor. Lot 8: dual elisa/chemistry analyser. Lot 9: auto-retracting rotary microtome and tissue processor. Lot 10: microscopes. Lot 11: analytical balances and ph meters. Lot 12: electrostatic detection apparatus. Lot 13: video spectral comparator with laserjet printer. Lot 14: medium-capacity superglue fuming cabinet. Lot 15: alternate light source. Lot 16: glass refractive index measurement system. 8. Intended timing of publication: February 2005. 9. Additional information: The supplies described in lots 1-16 must be accompanied by a 'lot' of spare parts, a lot would ideally include a set of short life replacement spares, sufficient to service the equipment for one full year beyond the prescribed warranty period. 10. Legal basis: ACP-EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on 23 June 2000. Decision No 2/2002 of the ACP-EC Council of Ministers published in OJ L 320 of 23 November 2002. Remarks: There must be a minimum period of 30 calendar days between the publication of this contract forecast and the publication of the corresponding procurement notice. No applications or requests for further information should be sent at this stage. |
