6. Contract description: The aim of this project is to develop the
northern corridor of the island of Hispaniola so as to encourage regional
integration between the Dominican Republic and the Republic of Haiti, the
two countries making up the island. Under this contract, a construction
firm will be selected to carry out rehabilitation work on the Cap-Haïtien
to Dajabón road, the construction of a bridge over the Massacre River and
of customs facilities on the Haitian side of the border. The works will
primarily comprise earthworks, laying of subbase and base course, a
2-layer surface dressing and/or asphaltic concrete for the wearing
course, plus the construction of engineering structures and drainage
systems, a bridge and a customs house.

5. Autorité contractante: Maître d'ouvrage est l'Ordonnateur National du
FED de la République d'Haïti, HT-Port-au-Prince.
6. Description du marché: Le projet vise le développement du Corridor
Nord de l'île d'Hispaniola, partagée par la République dominicaine et la
République d'Haïti, pour favoriser l'intégration régionale des deux pays.
L'objectif de ce marché est de sélectionner une entreprise de
construction pour exécuter les travaux de réhabilitation de la route Cap
Haïtien - Dajabon, la construction d'un pont sur la rivière Massacre, et
les installations douanières du côté haïtien de la frontière. Les travaux
consistent principalement en la mise en oeuvre des terrassements, d'une
couche de fondation et d'une couche de base, d'un enduit superficiel en
bicouche et/ou BB comme couche de roulement, ainsi que de la construction
d'ouvrages d'art et d'assainissement, d'un pont et d'un bâtiment de
douane.
