Oranjestad, Aruba Individual service contract forecast 1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/120064/D/SV/AW 2. Procedure: International restricted tender. 3. Programme: EDF. 4. Financing: Project will be financed from 9th EDF NIP resources. 5. Contracting authority: Territorial Authorising Officer for the EDF for the Government of Aruba, AW- Oranjestad, Aruba. 6. Nature of contract: Fee-based. 7. Contract description: The Aruba National Museum Project is to be financed under the 9th EDF contributing to the upgrading and diversification of Aruba's tourism product. The project concerns the conservation and conversion of the historic Ecury complex in Oranjestad into the National Museum of Aruba. The supervision contract comprising of three stages: 1. technical assistance in tender evaluation; 2. supervision of construction works and supplies; 3. post-construction services. 8. Indicative maximum budget: 270 000 EUR. 9. Intended timing of publication: August 2004. 10. Additional information: The project purpose is the creation of a national museum and, at the same time, to retain and recover the cultural significance of the historic Ecury site, thereby contributing to the preservation and safeguarding of Aruba's cultural heritage for cultural, commercial and educational use. 11. Legal basis: The contract shall be governed by the EDF general regulations, the general conditions and the Procedural Rules of Conciliation and Arbitration of Service Contracts financed by the EDF. Remarks: There must be a minimum period of 30 calendar days between the publication of this contract forecast and the publication of the corresponding procurement notice. No applications or requests for information should be sent at this stage. |
