Programme: Pacific Region - Renewable energy programme for 5 new Pacific ACP countries. 4. Financing: European Development Fund (9th EDF). Financing is depending on the corresponding financing decision to be taken by the Commission. 5. Nature of contract: Fee-based technical assistance service contract. 7. Contract description: The Regional Authorising Officer for the Pacific is seeking to recruit a suitably-experienced service provider to run the programme management unit of a renewable energy programme covering the countries: Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau and Republic of Marshall Islands. The overall programme budget will be above 11 000 000 EUR. The service provider is expected to provide the services of three full-time professionals, to be stationed in Fiji (2) and FSM (1). 8. Indicative maximum budget: 1 100 000 EUR (including substantial travel fees, administrative costs, etc.). 9. Intented timing of publication: August/September 2004. 10. Additional information: The service contract will have a running period of 36 months, with the possibility of a prolongation for up to another 24 months. 11. Legal basis: ACP-EU partnership agreement signed in Cotonou on 23 June 2000. |
