mining sectors (institutional support).
7. Contract description: The project aims to build up the capacities of
the government bodies responsible for the mining sector, both in terms of
human resources and equipment. There are five sections: 1) training of
managerial staff in the mining sector, 2) strengthening of analytical
capacities, 3) strengthening of IT capacities, 4) prospecting equipment,
5) improving support for mining activities.
8. Maximum available budget: 810 000 EUR.
9. Scheduled date for publication: 1.7.2004.

11. Legal basis: ACP/EC Partnership Agreement signed in Cotonou on 23
June 2000, and its financial regulation.

6. Objet du marché: Assistance technique géologique et minière (Appui
institutionnel).
7. Description du marché: Le projet vise à renforcer les capacités des
institutions gouvernementales en charge du secteur minier tant au niveau
des ressources humaines qu'en équipements. Il comporte cinq volets: 1)
formation de cadres miniers, 2) renforcement des capacités analytiques,
3) renforcement des capacités informatiques, 4) équipements de
prospection, 5) renforcement des capacités d'appui aux activités minières.
8. Budget maximal disponible: 810 000 EUR.
9. Date prévue de publication: 1er juillet 2004.
