the Government of Barbados, Ministry of Health, BB-Bridgetown, Barbados.
6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: Short term and long term technical assistance
will be provided to the Ministry of Health, Barbados in the following
areas: 1) Strengthening and reorganization of the Ministry of Health to
enable it to support and promote the changes needed at the level of the
health system. 2) Health information systems. 3) Home and community-based
care. 4) Cardiovascular diseases. 5) HIV/AIDS.
8. Indicative maximum budget: 1 200 000 EUR.
9. Intended timing of publication: May/June 2004.
10. Additional information: A set of indicators commonly agreed to with
stakeholders, including the other development partners, will be
identified to assess sector performance monitoring. These will include
budget-related indicators, prevention and health care utilization, in
particular with regard to the poor.
11. Legal basis: ACP-CE Partnership signed in Cotonou on 23 June 2000.
