Abstract:   Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: 13484 The East Harbour Project. Total quantity or extent: The Government of Iceland and the City of Reykjavik intend to create a major complex in central Reykjavik. Austurhofn-TR ehf (East Harbour Project Ltd) is an independent legal entity owned by the State of Iceland and City of Reykjavik, established to co-ordinate efforts and progress the development as Promoter. The object of the project is to create a Concert Hall, Conference Centre and Hotel at the East Harbour close to the city centre with further opportunity to develop office and retail elements as an integral part of the scheme. It is imperative that the proposed buildings should utilise and enhance the advantages of the area designated for the scheme. It has been decided that the project involving the Concert Hall, Conference Centre and Hotel will be carried out in the form of a Private Finance Initiative (PFI), including final design of the facilities and site lay-out, private finance, construction and long-term operation to meet output performance specifications.

II.5) Other information: The designated process will start with a
prequalification of bidders planned to take place in March/April 2004.
Estimated time of construction is 2006-2008.
