Summary
International Pre-selection of Consultants
Consultants are invited to express interest in the pre-selection of five
to seven capable firms for the pre-investment studies of the port of
Palmeira.
The services will consist of reviewing and amending the existing Master
Plan, defining a development project and establishing its economic
justification, preparing a full Environmental Impact Study, and producing
the technical studies (including the final engineering design,
bathymetry, geotechnics and wave modelling) up to the tender documents
for a construction contract. The cost of the development project is
estimated at EUR 15 to 20 million. The language of all documents to be
produced under the study must be Portuguese with some sections also in
English.
Candidates must send a request to participate to Mr. Carlos Lima Dias,
Managing Director of Infrastructure and Sanitation, (Ministry of
Infrastructure and Transport) with the relevant documentation (in English
or Portuguese) presenting the capability of their firm (overall capacity
and activity, experience in ports and in Portuguese, and Spanish,
speaking countries) by the deadline of 17.3.2006.
