Modernización del Sector Justicia (ICMSJ), Guatemala, through the
programme management unit set up for this purpose, Guatemala City.
6. Object of the contract: To devise, plan and carry out all aspects of
the academic vocational training of 80 legal interpreters and 60 cultural
experts by means of a system of scholarships to be accorded principally
to individuals from the indigenous Mayan peoples of Guatemala.
7. Contract description: The contract will cover the educational
measures required to train legal interpreters and cultural experts in
accordance with the specific requirements of the legal system to which
the programme refers. The estimated maximum duration of this training
programme is 2 years, which will also be the maximum contract term.
8. Indicative maximum budget: Maximum permitted amount: EUR 600 000,
including the costs provided for in the contract for the upkeep of 140
students.
9. Publication date: 20.1.2006.
10. Additional information: The successful tenderer will be entrusted
with organising all aspects of the training programme, including
selection of students to be awarded scholarships and running the
scholarship programme. For ethnic and geographical reasons, training will
take place on 2 separate sites in the Republic of Guatemala.
11. Legal basis: Framework agreement signed between the Republic of
Guatemala and the European Commission and financing agreement No

5. Órgano de contratación: El Beneficiario: Instancia Coordinadora de la
Modernización del Sector Justicia (ICMSJ) de Guatemala, actuando a través
de la Entidad Gestora del Programa constituida al efecto, Ciudad de
Guatemala.
6. Objeto del contrato: Diseñar, planificar y ejecutar de forma completa
la formación profesional académica de 80 intérpretes legales y de 60
peritos/as culturales, por medio de un programa de becas cuyos
beneficiarios son principalmente personas pertenecientes a los pueblos
indígenas mayas de Guatemala.
7. Descripción del contrato: El contrato comprenderá las acciones
académicas adecuadas para la formación de los traductores legales y los
peritos culturales según las necesidades del ámbito de administración de
la justicia que apoya el programa. La duración estimada de este plan de
formación será de un máximo de 2 años, que será también la duración
máxima del contrato.
8. Presupuesto máximo indicativo: Monto máximo permitido: 600 000 EUR
(seiscientos mil euros), incluyendo los gastos predeterminados por el
contratante de la manutención de los 140 estudiantes.
9. Fecha de publicación: 20.1.2006.
10. Información adicional: El titular (ganador) debe encargarse de toda
la organización de la formación incluyendo la selección de los becarios
así como la administración del programa de becas. Por motivos
etnogeográficos, la formación se realizará en 2 lugares diferentes en la
República de Guatemala.
11. Base legal: El Convenio marco firmado entre la República de
Guatemala y la Comisión Europea así como el Convenio de financiación
EuropeAid/GTM/B7-310/98/0366. Véase también la Guía Práctica de los
