II.1.6) Description/object of the contract (use continuation sheet if necessary): The purpose of the contract is to take stock of countries' policies and progress in relation to 3 areas defined as priorities for vocational education and training (VET) in the Maastricht Communiqué. It will examine how VET systems contribute to providing Europe with the skilled and competitive workforce it needs, while at the same time supporting social and labour market inclusion of the weaker groups in society.
